Last week, Managing Partner Michael Lonergan gave a guest lecture presentation to the Entrepreneurial Private Equity Fall class at Emory University - Goizueta Business School. In his presentation, Mike spoke about his career, gave the students an introduction to Georgia Oak, and provided his top 10 tips for anyone with a future in private equity, taking time at the end of his lecture to answer any questions from students. We’re grateful for the chance to connect with the bright minds at Emory, representing Georgia Oak’s commitment to enhancing and supporting the community and industry. Thank you to ★★★ Klaas B. and Dr. David Panton for this opportunity! #GuestLecture #FutureLeaders #CommunityEngagement

Last week, our team braved the weather for our first outing on the Sailfish Boats 316 DC! We enjoyed spending a day on the water as a team and were greatly impressed (though not surprised) by the 316 DC experience. The ride was smooth, the seats comfortable, and the boat was very spacious. Sharing laughs and tunes through the built in bluetooth speakers, the rain barely bothered us at all! We can’t wait for more boat days and are looking forward to sharing moments like this with friends of Georgia Oak. #SailfishBoats #BoatDay #LakeLanier

Back at the GO office, we kept the last few months busy. Here’s Georgia Oak’s summer roundup, in case you missed what we’ve been up to: 1: Our team had a blast connecting with partners and business owners this summer while cheering on our home team, The Atlanta Braves! Some great moments came out of these events, and we greatly enjoyed getting to know our partners outside the office. 2: Georgia Oak took to the pickleball courts this summer, utilizing this time away from the desk to reconnect as a team and socialize with our partners over some friendly competition. We hope to get back onto the court soon! 3: We were thrilled to attend Taste of ACG Atlanta this year. Thank you to Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) for hosting such a wonderful event. 4: Managing Partner Michael Lonergan represented Georgia Oak at the Smart Business Dealmakers Conference in Atlanta, discussing"Mastering the Art of M&A" with his fellow panelists Sara Burden, CBI, MAMI, CMAP, FIBBA, FMAS, Peter Mangal, Drew Miller, and moderator Jeff Hawkins, CPA. We’re just getting started! In the wise words of Managing Director Dale Murphy, our team is ready to “swing for the fences” this fall. #SummerRoundup #GrowYourLegacy #PrivateEquity
