Georgia Entertainment 200 Spotlight: Chris Peay, Chief Marketing Officer, Cxmmunity Media Chief Marketing Officer of Cxmmunity Media Tech, sports, and entertainment are the life’s work of Atlanta-based media and marketing entrepreneur, Chris Peay. Peay is chief marketing officer of Cxmmunity Media Co., a media-tech company that focuses on future-proofing diversity in the esports and gaming industries by creating educational, engaging, and entertaining programming. After graduating from a historically black university (HBCU), North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina, with a degree in Mass Communications and Media Studies, Peay went on to earn a Master’s degree in marketing at Georgia State University in Atlanta, honing his passions for the three key areas he focuses on today. As an assistant district attorney in Fulton County, he both acted and modeled as a side gig. “Auditions came, auditions went,” Cohen remembers. “Sometimes I was fortunate, and other times not.” Then, Cohen realized, there was something he noted consistently as he auditioned: universally, the talent, photographers, cinematographers, art directors, creative directors, and everyone else were constantly in need of an attorney who understood the business. Over the weekend, State Farm Arena hosted Support and Feed’s first-ever OVERHEATED event in Atlanta, bringing together hundreds of attendees ahead of Billie Eilish’s concert. Founded by Maggie Baird, Eilish’s mother, Support and Feed centers on sustainability and climate action. The full day of programming featured local organizations such as Ragtrade Atlanta, the Captain Planet Foundation, and Georgia Tech, alongside student leaders like Kiran Kapileshwari (Georgia Tech) and Catherine Maddox (SCAD), who joined a panel on sustainable fashion. Highlights included a performance by Dacula High School’s choir to open the event and a dynamic showcase by the Atlanta Drum Academy later in the day. The event resonated with a primarily young audience of 18- to 25-year-olds, with over 280,000 additional viewers tuning into the livestream on Billie Eilish’s YouTube channel.
