What an absolutely incredible panel! Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business hosted its very first health tech panel, and it was an insightful, engaging discussion from start to finish. Last week, I had the pleasure of participating in the first TechForward MBA Conference, which focused on innovation at the intersection of AI and was organized by the Georgia Tech Technology Club. When I met Rose Espiritu two months ago and offered my help to the Club, I had no idea how transformative this experience would be for me. Back home, we proudly say, “Spain is different,” and now I can tell you that American college life—Georgia Tech, in particular—is different too, and in such a special way! The drive and support of my colleagues on the Organizing Committee has been a true inspiration for me. I have deep admiration for Brooke Shareé, Analisa W., and Rose Espiritu, who brought this event to life and invited me to take part in it. On Thursday, I contributed to the Tech Square Tour: With my background in architecture and urbanism, I particularly enjoyed Merry Hunter Caudle, CEcD insights on Tech Square Phase III and the evolution of Midtown Atlanta and Georgia Tech over the past 25 years. Amy Hayes from The Home Depot shared some of the cutting-edge innovations at Home Depot Orange Works. The retail designer in me loved seeing the renderings of the checkout area and hearing anecdotes about customer experience improvements. Finally, I had the pleasure of escorting the group visiting to Engage offices, led by Hari Gopal. He has a unique ability to make the work behind a VC firm accessible, and I learned how Engage helps startups connect with corporate partners and research institutions to bring their ideas to life. Friday was a big day! I had the opportunity to moderate the Retail Tech Panel titled “How AI Impacts the Way We Shop”. Special thanks to our panelists Dan Chiao from SHEIN Technology LLC, Sarat Ramayya from Spanx, and Don Johnson from NVIDIA, for sharing how their companies are leading this AI revolution, and the ways in which it is streamlining retailers’ ability to better serve customers. I can’t wait to see what the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business has in store for the coming months, and I look forward to engaging in events as impactful as the TechForward Conference! ???????????????? ???? ?????????? It’s hard to capture in just a few words everything I’ve learned over the past few days. Last week, we held the first tech conference at Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business, the ????????????????????? ?????? ????????????????????: ???????????????????? ???? ????? ???????????????????????? ???? ????, organized by the Georgia Tech Technology Club. As a member of both the Tech Club and the Organizing Committee, I was fortunate to be part of it from the inside, collaborating on panel setup, speaker outreach, logistics, and more. Here are some of the lessons and reflections this experience left me with: * ????? ???????????????????? ???? ????????????????: None of this would have been possible without the collaboration of all my peers, members of the Tech Club, and the Organizing Committee. Each person contributing their part allowed us to put together a 2-day conference with over 150 attendees, 39 panelists/speakers, workshops, and more. * ????????????????????????: The conference focused on AI, and we learned a lot through the panels and talks by outstanding professionals from companies like Google, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and others. There is so much to highlight about AI’s impact on today’s world, the future, and even the unknown, but one thing is clear: these new technologies and advancements require—and will continue to require—constant adaptation. * ??????????????????: Without a doubt, I am in the right place at the right time. As a business professional looking to continue my journey in the tech industry, experiencing this firsthand was incredible.
