  • Team Resilience ?? The Resilience of a team relies on a culture of collaboration, understanding of each person’s strengths, clarity of roles and responsibilities, and definition of core operating processes. As we navigate a period of VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, change, and ambiguity) we are reminded of how important it is to invest in building the resilience of our team. We launched 2025 with a focus on tightening our own operational excellence while we help the rest of the organization tighten theirs. Synchronization is key ??. In two half-day sessions, we codified and clarified standard operating procedures ??, discussed team norms and priorities ??, and outlined key projects ??. Additionally, Sam Karanja and Michelle Powell briefed the team on process improvement methodology, while Kara Watkins Tillman - PMP and Kendra (Lewis) Strickland, EdD provided an overview of our change management methodology and tools. And Haris Haq, Ph.D., PMP presented his work on redeveloping our SharePoint site to improve efficiency, organization, and client service. We also reviewed our team's Gallup survey results and explored priority competencies to support team development. We are strategy partners who advise leaders, catalyze innovation, and mobilize the community ??. #Leadership #Teamwork #OperationalExcellence #Strategy #GeorgiaTech

  • Under Director Byron Fitch and Senior Strategy Consultant Dr. Kendra (Lewis) Strickland, EdD, Georgia Tech Strategic Consulting (GTSC) continues to serve as strategy partners and thought leaders for these important culture initiatives. The efforts focused on improving campus culture through rewards and recognition, fostering psychological safety, enhancing well-being, and refining operational practices and policies—resulting in real, tangible change across the Institute. We also want to thank our amazing colleagues within Georgia Tech Human Resources (Mattie Hamilton, Nzinga Benton, LPC, and Diamond Ford, PhD) who have been instrumental in leading many of these efforts on the ground.? https://lnkd.in/dBNtX5aB

  • Georgia Tech Strategic Consulting (GTSC) continues to be proud of our Portfolio, Program, and Project Management Community of Practice (P3) — a dynamic group that brings together over 70 P3 Managers from across the Institute. Since its inception in 2023 with just 25 members, this community has become a cornerstone of Georgia Tech’s organizational effectiveness, fostering growth, learning, and collaboration. Through a monthly forum, the group learns and exchanges ideas about best practices and engages in regular Speaker Series with internal and external subject matter experts in various areas of project management and higher education. On December 2nd, P3 members gathered for a lively event to wrap up the year with energy and creativity. The event featured interactive activities on how to use Stakeholder Analysis and a Communication Plan when managing their portfolio and teams and collaborating with stakeholders across the Institute. We also engaged in a very fun (and challenging!) hands-on activity involving tape, pasta, and marshmallows as participants teamed up to build standing structures—an exercise that highlighted the importance of collaboration, communication, and innovative problem-solving. P3 is central to Georgia Tech’s ability to pursue its’ strategic plan and in increasing the capability and capacity of the Georgia Tech Community to successfully lead and execute projects. P3 Managers are driving forward the projects and programs that are literally, shaping the future of Georgia Tech. This progress would not be possible without their dedication and expertise. And a special thanks to our Director, Dr. Tanika J. Kyle - DSL, PMP, NPDP, SPEAKER, COACH, STRATEGIST for her leadership of this impactful Community of Practice.
