Last week, the Georgia Tech SimTigrate Design Lab and Institute for People and Technology(IPaT) had the pleasure of hosting the SimLEARN VHA team, including representatives from the SimLEARN VHA Executive Director's Office, the Office of Construction and Facilities Management, the Veterans Experience Office, and Guidehouse. We had great discussions on how to integrate physical and virtual simulations and other advanced research tools to drive innovations in healthcare design. We look forward to continuing exploring ways to collaborate with the SimLEARN VHA, CFM, and the Veterans Experience Office to support better and safer healthcare design to serve both our nation’s Veterans and the general public! Thanks Eric Bruns, Devin Harrison,Gary Fischer, Charles Tubbs, Dr. Sherri Boisvert, and Fred S. for visiting us and sharing your great work at VHA. Special thanks to Devin H. for establishing the connection and coordinating the trip to GT. Huge thanks to our team from the Georgia Tech SimTigrate Design Lab and Georgia Tech College of Design: Russell Gentry, Craig Zimring, Eunhwa Yang, Leandro Miletto Tonetto, and our colleagues from the Institute for People and Technology (IPaT): Michael Best, Maribeth Coleman, Clint Zeagler, Tim Trent, Brian Jones, Rudy Gleason, Christine Robinson for sharing their insightful work and making this a great visit for the VHA team. #SimTigrate #GTDesignforHealth #GTCollegeofDesign #GTIPaT #SimLEARN #CFM #VA #Veteranexperience #Innovation #Collaboration #Simulation

#peacebeautifulpeople Last Thursday, the SimLEARN VHA team had the privilege of visiting Georgia Tech SimTigrate Design Lab where we explored their innovative approaches to simulation, spatial analysis, design, and much more. We’re incredibly thankful to Hui Cai and her team for their warm hospitality and for sharing their cutting-edge work. This visit highlighted the importance of exploring new opportunities to stay at the forefront of simulation and improve healthcare environments for our nation’s Veterans. At SimLEARN VHA our mission is to continually innovate and enhance how we deliver care to those who have served, and engaging with thought leaders like Georgia Institute of Technology allows us to reimagine what’s possible. While there is still much work ahead, visits like this highlight the importance of creating connections and exploring new opportunities to support our mission of delivering the best possible care to those who have served. Thank you again to the Georgia Tech SimTigrate Design Lab team for an inspiring day of learning and sharing ideas. We look forward to continuing these discussions and seeing where this journey takes us! #SimLEARN #VA #GaTech #VeteransExperience #Simulation #Innovation #HealthcareDesign #Collaboration #CFM
