It’s a happy #StartupThursday when I can congratulate a Georgia Tech startup for winning a challenge sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Sanguina, Inc. was a grand prize winner of the NIH’s Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics Technology (RADx? Tech) for Maternal Health Challenge for its #AnemoCheck Mobile smartphone app that estimates hemoglobin levels based on an image of a user’s nail beds. Based on Erika Tyburski’s senior design project at Georgia Institute of Technology, Sanguina is customizing the app for use during pregnancy.
