The MSUD is a 3-semester, post-professional degree preparing urban designers to redesign cities and suburbs to be more just, resilient, and prosperous for all. A studio-centric program, MSUD students apply the lessons learned from history, theory, real estate, and urban systems courses to real projects working with real communities. We believe that great urban designers need to experience great places and the third semester is an in-depth travel-study program through Europe. An ability to draw both by hand and digitally is a must. The program welcomes those with a professional architecture, landscape architecture, city planning, or civil engineering degree to team together with leading faculty on re-envisioning eco-infrastructure and retrofitting suburbia.
