We had an incredible time at the Marcus Nanotechnology Building this week, where members of the research community from across Georgia Institute of Technology gathered to celebrate the official opening of the Institute for Matter and Systems. A special highlight was the Oliver Brand Memorial Lectureship on Electronics and Nanotechnology, presented by Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Michael Strano. His talk on micro-robotics highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in research today. Buzz even got the leadership team to put on cleanroom suits for a group photo! Thank you to everyone who attended and made this event a huge success. #GeorgiaTech #ResearchCommunity #Innovation

This is just one example of the amazing work being done at Georgia Tech with chips education!
As the semiconductor industry evolves, the demand for skilled analog engineers grows. To meet it, Georgia Tech School of Electrical & Computer Engineering is collaborating with Texas Instruments to give students access to industry-grade analog chip design, fabrication, and testing processes. “Analog circuits remain vital because they enable the initial data acquisition from the environment. That’s just the application perspective, but they are also structurally very different than digital circuits. Students need hands-on experience with real-world measurements, which are crucial for mastering analog circuits.” –Shaolan Li

Working with companies such as ClassOne allows us to provide our users with the best tools possible for their research. We are excited to see what will be done with this new resource!
We’re excited to announce that Georgia Institute of Technology will be implementing a Solstice S8 single-wafer processing system into their 3D Heterogenous Integration Hub! ClassOne will support them in process technology development, helping to push the boundaries for high aspect ratio TSVs, metal alloy plating, and other advanced packaging technologies. https://bit.ly/4gKZZeO
