Look how well we clean up! EXCEL was proud to host our latest Business Networking Event yesterday. Our students shared their employment and internship experiences with our industry partners, presenting their growing work experience. Thank you to all our campus and industry partners that support our students in gaining valuable work experience and help them practice their professional communication skills! We had representatives from The Coca-Cola Company, Kids2, Georgia Institute of Technology's Campus Recreation Center, Buzz Card office, Price Gilbert Library, Dining Services Mansfield Oil Company, Inc., Bobby Dodd Institute, and several Georgia Tech professors that host our students in their courses. Thank you all!

We were grateful for the opportunity to learn from David Eckoff and support our students in considering what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur. We don't want to limit students' dreams but instead provide them with discussions and resources to help them find their path. Thanks to Synergies Work for working with our EXCEL freshman yesterday! It was inspiring to see the level of engagement in the discussion.

Day 2: Musings of Leah Gartman, Georgia Tech EXCEL student and the Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC) One of the things I like about the Georgia Institute of Technology is that it has a lot of clubs, like Dance Company at Georgia Tech. I love being in this club because I love to dance, and you don’t have to be perfect at dancing for this club. I also love CHAARG at Georgia Tech, a club about working out. I like this because if you have never worked out before, then this is a perfect club for you. I also like the fact that in the EXCEL program, you can also start your own clubs. Next year, some friends and I are going to start a baking club.

This semester Georgia Tech EXCEL student Leah Gartman is an intern with the CEISMC communications team. While learning all about graphic design, one of her assignments was to create social media posts to share what she loves about her experience at the Georgia Institute of Technology. We'll be sharing these insights over the next few days. Day 1: My name is Leah Gartman. I am a 2nd year student at Georgia Tech in the EXCEL program. I transferred from a similar program at Coastal Carolina. I like it here because I get to be with family, more friends, and my twin sister, who always supports me.?
