Industrial Design students had a great opportunity to showcase their work at the recent Industrial Design Career Fair. Many career fairs at Georgia Institute of Technology focus on engineering and computer science, said Davia W. "Creating a space for employers to come recruit Industrial Design students and allowing our students to showcase the amazing work they are doing as potential interns and/or full-time employees is immensely important." This initial symposium focuses on a significant new development in Atlanta’s Fourth Ward by New City Properties, and will investigate the ambitions of the developer within the site and context, the ideas behind the selection of the building design teams, and providing a forum for the developer, planner, architects, landscape architect, engineers and contractor to discuss their work in depth – to create a discourse around the ideas and issues that are continuing to build a significant new urban center in Atlanta.
