Bazemore has consistently championed policies that strengthen Georgia's cities, particularly advocating for improved local infrastructure, supporting housing development, or ensuring equitable access to vital resources; she has been a tireless advocate for the issues that matter most to Georgia's cities. Last month, our RMEBS Boards of Trustees gathered in St. Simons Island for a productive meeting focused on key initiatives and industry updates. From ethics and fiduciary responsibilities to retirement trends and supporting the mental health of our first responders, the Board covered crucial topics that will continue to shape the future of our programs. Tifton and Eatonton Joint ACCG-GMA HB 581 Trainings Canceled Due to Hurricane Helene Due to the significant impact of Hurricane Helene and the focus now shifting to recovery efforts, we have made the decision to cancel this week’s ACCG-GMA HB 581 Training Sessions in Tifton (Tift County) and Eatonton (Putnam County). We will try our best to reschedule these meetings to a later date but we highly encourage all registrants to join us for the ACCG-GMA HB 581 Webinar on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 1:00 p.m. Please register using the link below. If you’re unable to attend, the webinar will be recorded and made available on our respective websites. Our thoughts are with all the communities affected by the hurricane.
