Grateful for an afternoon to learn about leadership and see friends like Belisa Urbina and Jay Cranman, friends and colleagues from RLI class of 2019 and GFPE board member, the always effervescent, Ann Cramer. ??
The Georgia Foundation for Public Education (GFPE) exists for the single purpose of supporting educational excellence for students in Georgia. We provide simple ways for donors to impactfully serve students in Georgia’s K-12 public school system – by investing in a current GFPE project or working with GFPE to fund their vision. Together, we’re creating a better future for the 1.7 million students in Georgia’s public schools.

The school year is in full swing here in Georgia, and our students need YOU! Through the 2024 PEACH Education Tax Credit, you can support schools like Houston College & Career Academy in funding their projects for higher quality education! As a fundraising partner, Houston County Schools is raising funds to create and expand career pathways. These students are tech savvy and interested in pursuing careers in the cybersecurity industry. The creation of this pathway will allow for the provision of an effective cybersecurity lab and program. Additionally, the school aims to improve their existing firefighter pathway by providing the vital protective gear and heavy equipment for training and certification of the program. Both the cybersecurity and firefighter pathways will lead the way in creating a pipeline of highly qualified workers in these industries in middle Georgia. To support these projects, designate your state income taxes to Houston County Schools when applying for your 2024 PEACH Education Tax Credit here: https://bit.ly/3MWj3K5
Attention Jones County residents! You have the opportunity to support JONES COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM in their fundraising efforts! As a PEACH fundraising partner, Jones County is asking for support for the building of greenhouses to supplement agriculture learning at Clifton Ridge Middle School and Gray Station Middle School . The building of these greenhouses will allow for students to have hands-on experiences to learn about plant systems and entrepreneurship. Students will have the opportunity to partake in unique projects, grow plants for plant sales each year, and learn about the benefits of growing plants. Want to make hands-on agriculture learning a possibility for Jones County students? Redirect a portion of your state income taxes to Jones County Schools through the PEACH Education Tax Credit! You’re already paying income taxes to the state… Why not redirect some of those taxes to improve the lives of our students? With your donation to the PEACH, you have the opportunity to support programs like the English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program at Marietta Sixth Grade Acad and Marietta Middle School. The ESOL program assists students who are learning English to develop the language skills needed to meaningfully participate in all aspects of their education. The city’s new "Sheltered Content" program will allow English learning students to receive specialized language and content instruction through a class composed of only newcomer students. The program will also provide English classes for parents of these children. Redirecting your taxes to the 2024 PEACH Tax Credit will allow more Georgia students to be supported in their efforts to learn English and receive a higher quality education. Your tax dollars are making a difference! Your commitment to the 2024 PEACH Education Tax Credit allows school systems like Savannah-Chatham County Public School System to better students' educations and lives. In Savannah-Chatham County, there is an increasing number of Spanish-speaking only families. Due to this language barrier, school nurses face challenges to assess and communicate the needs of their students. Thanks to your tax dollars, the school system received a grant to enroll nurses in a six-week online “Spanish for Medical Professionals” course through Savannah Technical College . This grant enables school nurses to adequately care for Spanish-speaking children and communicate effectively with their families.
