The Georgia Beverage Association (GeorgiaBev) is the trade association for Georgia’s refreshing, non-alcoholic beverage industry, serving the public and its members since 1905. GeorgiaBev’s mission is to promote the development, preservation, operation and general welfare of the beverage industry in Georgia. GeorgiaBev represents bottlers, franchise companies and support industries of the non-alcoholic beverage industry. GeorgiaBev represents its members on the federal, state and local levels of government. GeorgiaBev provides a neutral forum in which members convene to discuss issues of interest, while maintaining their tradition of spirited competition in the marketplace. The Association also serves as a liaison between the industry, public, and provides a unified voice in legislative and regulatory matters.

Mayors engaged in interactive sessions with national speakers and seasoned mayors, sharing insights into cultivating relationships, responding effectively during crises, advancing community engagement, and much more. ? Additionally, GeorgiaBev was able to share our economic impact story and discuss our goals to advance recycling and reduce our environmental footprint.??

The beverage industry awarded a $25,000 grant?to DeKalb County's LiveThrive to fund new equipment that will increase the amount of materials recycled at their new facility. The funds will add a new baler to Live Thrive’s Center for Hard to Recycle Materials (CHaRM).

The Georgia Beverage Association is pleased to announce Alfred Williams as the new Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the 2024-2026 term. Alfred is the Senior Market Director for the Georgia Market at PepsiCo. He oversees operations across most of Georgia and Chattanooga, Tennessee. Alfred began his career with Frito-Lay in 2011 as a District Manager, bringing over a decade of progressive sales experience from PepsiCo Foods North America to his current position at PBNA.?

In 2022, PepsiCo invested $260 million to expand their Stone Mountain manufacturing facility in the City of Tucker.?The 260,000 square feet expansion will increase PepsiCo's production five-fold by 2025, making this one of the largest manufacturing facilities in PepsiCo's portfolio.?Pictured below:?a group of PBNA employees celebrated the first cans coming off the new line ahead of schedule!??
