Earlier this month, the GAWP 2025 Women Making Waves Mentoring Committee brought energy and purpose to an engaging in-person workshop designed to unlock the potential of the mentorship program! Mentors and mentees explored their Top 5 Strengths in small groups, brainstorming the value they bring both individually and collectively. Participants dug deep into how their strengths drive team dynamics, collaboration, and success. To wrap up the session, everyone crafted one-sentence action plans to apply these insights in meaningful ways. The session was an inspiring blend of self-discovery, teamwork, and actionable growth. We're excited to see how these plans unfold and positively impact careers and teams alike! #WomenMakingWaves #WomeninWater #GAWP #Mentorship #WaterProfessionals

The H2Opportunity Committee has once again made a big splash with the World of Water at the Construction Ready Expo, where they were able to educate students from all over the state about the careers available to them in the water industry.?Thanks to committee members and all the other volunteers who pitched in to make the World of Water a success! Special thanks to our sponsors whose contributions enable us to participate (and educate!) in this event each year: Athens-Clarke County Unified Government, Marietta Water, Eco-Tech, Douglasville-Douglas County Water and Sewer Authority, HDR, Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority, Clayton County Water Authority
That is one good looking group of water professionals (and one extra cheery water drop - Dripette, one of Rockdale County's water mascots!) The World of Water at the 2025 Construction Ready Expo was nothing short of amazing and it couldn't happen without the help of 40 volunteers from across the water industry. Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP) and our friends at Ruby-Collins, Inc. had a great time over two days talking all things H2O with expo attendees and spreading awareness of careers that make a splash. Your time and talent is invaluable at these events to help cultivate and inspire the next generation of folks who will #workforwater! Jackie Sherry Stephen Howard Krystal Horne Suzanne Brown Raven S.
