In today's fast-paced world, supply chain efficiency is crucial. AI can revolutionize your supply chain strategy, making it more resilient and efficient. The latest NIST MEP whitepaper, "Rethink Your Supply Chain Strategy for Better Outcomes," offers practical insights into implementing Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) for manufacturers. Many manufacturers lack the resources to develop comprehensive supply chain strategies and often default to a transactional approach, focusing primarily on per-unit costs. This can lead to a higher total cost of ownership and conflicting views about supplier value across departments. A structured framework is essential to avoid these pitfalls. Georgia AIM is here to help! We provide companies with basic AI guidance to tackle shipping challenges and streamline operations. Let's harness the power of AI to build strong, collaborative supplier relationships and achieve better outcomes. ???Unlocking the Power of AI for Cities and Towns!??? Artificial intelligence can help more than manufacturing facilities — it can also be a transformative tool for cities and towns. The Georgia Tech - Center for Economic Development Research (CEDR), part of the Enterprise Innovation Institute at Georgia Tech and a Georgia AIM partner, is hosting a new series of workshops designed to connect municipal employees and economic development organizations with innovative ways AI can improve efficiency and reduce government costs. These daylong workshops will help brainstorm solutions to public-sector challenges such as traffic management, public safety, and overall government efficiency. These workshops are made possible thanks to funding from Georgia AIM. “We want to help local officials better understand how they can be part of the AI revolution,” said Leigh Hopkins, assistant director for CEDR, who is among the team members leading the workshops. Other partners include Georgia Academy for Economic Development, The University of Georgia and representatives from Georgia Power Company and Georgia EMC. “We’re here to help you tee up AI; that’s why Georgia AIM is here.” Join us to harness the power of AI for the public sector! https://lnkd.in/efEFBXSa ?? #ArtificialIntelligence #PublicSector #Innovation #EconomicDevelopment #GeorgiaTech #AIWorkshops

One week ago, we celebrated the intersection of AI and career paths, including manufacturing, technology, supply chain/logistics, and MORE! Here are our top five lessons learned at The Future is HER (in no particular order). **Keep learning.** Denise Quarles, head of strategy for Siemens USA: Whether it's listening to a new podcast while you're walking the dog or reading a new book, keep looking for new avenues to learn and grow your experience. **Be ready to come off 'standby.'** Tenisha Griggs, CEO of 37X Digital Marketing: Inevitably, someone will take a misstep. And just like missing that flight, there will be someone on standby waiting to take their place. Be mindful and ready for these unexpected opportunities. **It's not a career ladder, it's a jungle gym** Karen C. Houghton, CEO of Infinite Giving: As you plan your next moves, be ready to adjust your path. The road to success isn't always a straight line. **AI can help solopreneurs** Christele Parham, MBA, co-founder of Macon Black Tech: Using tools like Microsoft Copilot, you can audit your processes and create better systems, and you don't have to go it alone. **Be strategic with AI** Across the board, speakers at The Future is HER detailed ways businesses and entrepreneurs can incorporate AI, such as demand forecasting, fleet maintenance, or predicting demand for suppliers. But first, develop your strategy for what you want to automate: Clearly define the automation, where the data is coming from, and what the outcomes mean. Special thanks to our collaborators on the event, Pink STEM Foundation and STEM Atlanta Women, Inc.! AI in manufacturing is key to increased profit margins and worker satisfaction.
