Congratulations to CelLink Corporation (CelLink) on the recent announcement from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The DOE has closed on a $362 million loan which will provide funding tied to?CelLink’s Georgetown facility which produces components essential to electric vehicle?assembly. Last week, the Williamson County Economic Development Partnership (Wilco EDP) hosted its annual site selector familiarization tour. This year’s group of site selection experts included representatives from highly active site selection firms including Cresa, Goldstone Realty Partners, Cushman & Wakefield, and Bose McKinney & Evans LLP. The 2.5 day event provided an opportunity for Georgetown and other member cities of Wilco EDP to interact closely with these site selection experts and provide detailed information on the advantages of locating their corporate clients’ next facilities in Williamson County. The tour included a guided helicopter tour out of Georgetown Executive Airport to gain an aerial perspective of our rapid growing region, meetings with major local employers – such as GAF Energy, and allowed for an interactive discussion with key workforce partners.?
