Our new report by Lauren Kahn, Emelia Probasco, and Veronica Jade Kinoshita explores automation bias and ways to mitigate it through three case studies: Tesla’s autopilot incidents, aviation incidents at Boeing and Airbus, and Army and Navy air defense incidents. Our new report by Jack Corrigan, Ngor Luong, and Christian Schoeberl examines trends in U.S. mergers and acquisitions of artificial intelligence companies. They found that AI-related M&A deals have grown significantly over the last decade, with large U.S. tech companies being the most prolific acquirers of AI firms. Excited to share the results of a new Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET) report where my coauthors and I investigate the cybersecurity challenges associated with AI code generation: https://lnkd.in/eX9gBZGa We find that although code generation is an extremely promising--and already widely adopted--use case for AI, it's important for organizations to be aware of potential cybersecurity risks associated with widespread adoption. This isn't to say that these tools are too risky to use in every scenario, but that users and policymakers should be prepared to assess their impact.
