Recently, members of the George Reed Inc Construction team as well as our Materials Division presented at the Reed Family Companies, Modesto, CA Road Show event hosted by VSS International, Inc. in Sacramento, CA. During this event, attendees had the opportunity to witness live construction demonstrations featuring a 4.5” & 1.5” 12’x150’ lane performed as 1 lift. We showed our cutting edge RTDensity technology ability to give live compaction density & mapping on our vibratory rollers. This approach ensures that the compaction process meets the highest standards, leading to enhanced performance and longevity of the construction materials used. At George Reed, we operate two quarries, Jackson Valley, located outside of Ione, and Table Mountain located in Jamestown. From these locations, we specialize in selling aggregates to various contractors across California. Our Table Mountain Jamestown plant, known for its black volcanic basalt, produces a Caltrans specific Type II slurry, and the Jackson Valley plant, which offers green / gray rock from rock dust to Rip Rap, ranging from ¼ minus to well over 4-ton boulders. The Slurry products from Table Mountain are favored due to its aesthetic properties, consistency, durability and are offered as Type I, Type II or Type III. The volcanic basalt not only maintains its color over time but also offers superior performance for construction purposes. The material's durability makes it ideal for applications involving microsurfacing, and where clean aggregates are crucial for ensuring quality outcomes. The Materials division of George Reed also operates 4 Hot Plants for HMA and Hot Precoated Chips to the construction industry. Our Previously mentioned Table Mountain HMA, Clements HMA in Acampo, CA, Munn & Perkins in Escalon off E River Road and Rio Linda on Elkhorn Blvd. in Sacramento, CA. Each location specializes in providing Hot Mix products to meet a variety of specifications. She started her career working in the medical administrative field. Eager to step beyond her comfort zone, Prisscila decided to pivot her career path. Inspired by her mother, who is employed in the traffic control sector at George Reed and also works as a construction laborer, Prisscila embraced an opportunity at the Table Mountain Quarry. Here, she discovered a passion for the dynamic and fast-paced environment of the scale house, where she is surrounded by an amazing community of coworkers, customers, and drivers.
