Congratulations to GeoAcuity's GIS Developer Will Forker for having his StoryMap "Nekketsu Takei’s Hawai’i" selected by Esri as one of the 15 Favorite Stories of the Year! The Esri StoryMaps team selected 15 standout StoryMaps from the thousands created in 2024, highlighting exceptional creativity, captivating storytelling, and expert use of ArcGIS StoryMap features— and Will’s was one of them. Will collaborated with Katie Chiu, RA and Li Wei Yang from The Huntington on this project exploring the cultural connections between 1906 Hawai'i, its Japanese settlers, and the legacy of sugar cane cultivation, both past and present. We continue to be inspired by the remarkable work and passion that Will brings to GeoAcuity every day. Well done, Will! Last week, two of GeoAcuity's experienced UAS pilots, Will Forker and Wyn Huey, traveled to Augusta, GA, to provide training on AgEagle Aerial Systems Inc.'s eBee TAC for the GCS Geospatial team. Over two days, Wyn and Will delivered comprehensive instruction on mission planning, emergency procedures, best practices, and data processing. The training culminated in a field collection, where they guided GCS Geospatial members in collecting over 1,200 photos with spatial accuracies of less than 2 centimeters.
