🌟 Why Choose a Slurry Wall? 🌟 Imagine a new building is being constructed near a river. The high water table makes it challenging to keep excavations dry and stable. There are concerns about groundwater seeping into the excavation site potentially delaying the project and increasing costs. This is where Geo-Solutions comes in. We can provide a reliable solution to control groundwater and ensure a safe construction environment. On a recent project, our team designed and constructed a slurry trench to create a low permeability barrier for a situation much like the one described. With the slurry wall in place, the construction site remained dry and stable, allowing the project to proceed on schedule and within budget. A high-rise building was then successfully constructed. This scenario highlights the importance of slurry walls in urban construction projects and demonstrates how Geo-Solutions can provide effective solutions to complex challenges. 🌍🏗️ Learn more: https://lnkd.in/e8wG2mA #Construction #Engineering #GroundwaterControl #SlurryWalls #GeoSolutions #UrbanDevelopment

🚧 Project Spotlight: Jet Grouting Barrier Wall 🚧 Our team recently completed a challenging jet grouting project in New Jersey. This involved working within feet of active utilities and ensuring minimal disruption to other ongoing construction activities. Over the course of the the project, GSI successfully installed 242 jet grout columns, reaching depths of up to 34 feet. The jet grouted barrier wall effectively prevents contaminants from migrating into the groundwater and surface water surrounding the site, ensuring long-term environmental protection. Thanks to everyone who attended Jeffrey C. Evans, Ph.D, P.E., F.ASCE and I's short course on Vertical Barriers at the GeoFrontiers conference in Louisville, KY. It's been a good conference so far attending technical talks and catching up with friends, colleagues, and business partners. Looking forward to another day of networking and technical presentations.
