Geo Lab recently completed a successful injection pilot test using PetroFix at a site just outside Atlanta, GA. PetroFix is an activated carbon remedial fluid combined with anaerobic electron acceptors, designed to effectively treat dissolved-phase hydrocarbons. To ensure precise treatment, Geo Lab deployed custom injection tooling to target discrete treatment zones within the pilot area. Using the site's existing monitoring well network, we were able to confirm effective distribution of the amendment, setting the stage for full-scale treatment. This project represents another step forward in our commitment to remediation success using the best equipment and experience in the industry. Project Spotlight: Sonic Injection Success in West Central Florida! ? Geo Lab’s remediation team recently wrapped up a successful 3-week Sonic injection project in West Central Florida, overcoming complex subsurface conditions with precision and expertise! Due to site constraints, Sonic Technology was utilized to reach deep treatment depths where traditional DPT drilling wasn’t an option. The project site spanned an active shopping mall parking lot and extended into a residential neighborhood, requiring meticulous planning and execution. GeoForm Extended Release, EHC Liquid, pH Buffers, Anaerobic Mix Water, and DHC Microbial Culture was used to target 235 treatment intervals over 47 locations. The reagents were applied using a high velocity, top-down injection approach to ensure effective distribution within the treatment zones. A huge shoutout to our skilled injection crew who navigated the technical complexities and ensured safety throughout the project, while completing all work ahead of schedule. It was a valuable opportunity to connect with industry professionals and colleagues. We appreciated the positive feedback on our 3D-printed injection site model, designed and produced by my son, a first-year Georgia Tech student. Brian and Brendan also took the model and the ‘show on the road’ to Montgomery last week for the ADEM UST Assessment & Remediation and Groundwater joint conferences, where we participated as exhibitor/sponsors.
