It should come as no surprise to you that the younger generations are highly motivated by a sense of purpose in their work. Consider using marketing, interviews, and onboarding to educate on your company's mission. (What is your purpose? Who do you serve? Why is this important? How do you accomplish this? What are your values?) 2. Review job descriptions, policies, and procedures to ensure they are still relevant and up to date. 3. Use onboarding to go beyond just listing your policies and procedures. If you want Millennials and Gen Z to buy in, they want to know WHY these policies are in place. If the answer is ever, "Because that's how we've always done things," it's time to reexamine the policy.
