Rain or shine, our drive to enhance processes never wavers. Take this recent lean improvement at our Saginaw steel pressure pipe facility, which tackled a weather-related challenge head-on. High humidity was causing excess condensation on pipe exteriors at the outdoor hydrotesting station, creating a real headache for operators. Our innovative team devised a simple yet effective solution: we installed a water heater for use on rainy days. Paired with fans and occasional dry mopping, this setup effectively controls condensation, ensuring a consistent testing environment regardless of atmospheric conditions. This creative fix exemplifies how a little ingenuity can spark significant process improvements, boosting efficiency and maintaining the highest quality standards for our clients. #leanmanufacturing #processimprovement #innovation

The Logan City 10th North Corridor Improvements Project includes several enhancements to local commuter and pedestrian infrastructure. Key improvements include widening a busy roadway and expanding the underlying stormwater system with the help of a custom precast stormwater diversion structure manufactured by Geneva Pipe and Precast. This structure features a 12'x12' vault with three compartments separated by baffles designed to regulate and direct stormwater flow during heavy rain and snowmelt events. In addition, we provided a 7'x7' precast junction box for this project. The use of reinforced precast concrete components ensures a durable, long-lasting solution capable of withstanding heavy traffic loads on the newly widened roadway above.
