Winter is coming and we are ready. Yesterday, GCRC's Maintenance Department put on our second annual snowplow rodeo. Equipment operators from the City of Flint, Lapeer County Road Commission, Sanilac County Road Commission, Monroe County Road Commission joined us in an obstacle course to simulate real world driving experiences. It was a chance for some of the newer drivers to learn from those who are more experienced and sharpen their skills before the first snowfall. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Winter weather may not be in the forecast yet, but our team is ready to keep roads safe, no matter what Mother Nature brings! Today, our Equipment Operators are completing a training session with the Michigan County Road Commission Self-Insurance Pool to ensure they’re prepared for the challenges that icy, snowy roads can bring. They'll also be taking on an obstacle course to hone the skills they need to keep our communities moving safely this winter.
