One of the most rewarding parts of my work is guiding entrepreneurs toward greater impact and sustainable growth. Recently, I had the pleasure of working with Lindsay Watson, a passionate entrepreneur who was looking for strategic guidance to #elevate her business and deepen her influence. Through our conversation, we explored new #opportunities for growth, uncovered strategies to strengthen her #brand, and developed actionable steps to align her business with her long-term vision. Watching leaders like Lindsay step into their full potential is what drives me every day. If you’re a business leader, executive, or entrepreneur looking for expert insight, fresh strategies, and meaningful support, let’s connect. I’d love to help you amplify your impact and accelerate your success. Send me a message today. #Throwback I had the privilege of partnering with SpeakUp! to design and facilitate their inspiring board retreat. The theme, From Board Members #Ambassadors, set the tone for a #transformative day of learning, connection, and renewed #purpose. Supporting Martie Bernicker and Kate Coppolla was an absolute joy as they curated thoughtful touches, from organizational swag to insightful books that deepened the board’s understanding of their mission and the mindsets of the youth they serve. SpeakUp! helps parents engage with young people versus a true movement like Black Lives Matter. #LeadershipDevelopment #BoardEngagement #SpeakUpMovement

As a proud member of the Home Grown ecosystem, I am deeply committed to #uplifting leaders who are closest to their community’s opportunities and challenges; helping them gain the #visibility and resources they need to drive impactful change. ? I had the honor of attending and leading a workshop at Home Grown’s 2024 National Gathering under the inspiring theme Leading Together! My session focused on Formalizing Leadership Networks to support family childcare providers in establishing their own 501(c)(3) organizations. This critical step empowers them to secure funding and advocate for meaningful change in their #communities. ? The heart of our session was the dynamic panel discussion featuring Decarla Lenise Burton Burton, Adrienne Briggs, Diane Gardner, and Sheryl Hutzenbiler. These incredible leaders shared their powerful journeys of creating and growing local networks while embodying the spirit of the late John Lewis “Good Trouble.” ? A huge thank you to Natalie Renew, Karen Tylek, and Alexandra P. for orchestrating such an inspiring and #impactful convening! I am so grateful to be part of this #transformative community.

As we close out October, I came across an article in Harvard Business Review that had me thinking about work culture and well-being. Many of us are driven by a "push through" #mindset, but what if I told you that taking more frequent, intentional breaks could actually help us #achieve more? A recent review of over 80 studies shows that taking short, #purposeful pauses throughout the day isn’t just refreshing; it boosts productivity too. And it's not just any break—certain types are more #beneficial than others. A quick walk outdoors, a stretch, or even a micro-break to recharge can be exactly what we need. Yet, so many of us ignore these recharging moments, leaving us depleted by the end of the day. For leaders and organizations, this research is especially crucial: #fostering a break-positive #culture can help boost both morale and output. Imagine a workday where recharging is a celebrated strategy, not an afterthought. How do you incorporate breaks into your day? Let’s share tips to help each other create more balanced, productive routines. #WellBeingAtWork #BreakToBoost #WorkplaceCulture https://lnkd.in/ep3rU_Xg

We want to share an insightful article from Forbes... Did you know that for nearly 70% of people, their manager has a greater #impact on their mental health than their doctor or therapist—and it's on par with the #influence of a partner? Sobering, right? As a #leader, you have the power to affect your team's wellbeing in profound ways. According to new research from The Workforce Institute, stress in the workplace is rising—43% of employees are exhausted, and 78% say stress is affecting their #performance. But here’s the good news: when mental health is prioritized, 63% of employees say they're more committed to their work, and 80% feel more energized. So, how can you lead in a way that supports mental health? ?Manage yourself: Avoid overloading your plate. Delegate, #empower your team, and set a healthy example. ?Recognize your impact: Your actions are under the #leadership microscope. Show empathy, ask how people are doing, and offer resources. ?Inspire #purpose: Remind your team of the bigger picture and how their work makes a difference. ?Foster #connection: Be accessible and responsive, and encourage relationships across teams. Leaders have the #responsibility and the #opportunity to shape not just productivity but the mental health and wellbeing of their teams. How are you supporting mental health in your workplace? Share your thoughts in the comments! Happy Friday! https://lnkd.in/e_7UZK3d #Leadership #MentalHealthMatters #EmployeeWellbeing #LeadershipDevelopment #TeamManagement

If you had asked me three years ago where I saw my life heading, I would have honestly said, "I don't know." But last week, I stood on the other side of that uncertainty, fulfilling a dream that, at one point, seemed so distant. I had the privilege of presenting at the UBUNTU 2024: People, Place, and Policy, for Community Wellness International Conference in Cape Town, South Africa—a surreal and deeply humbling moment. My first presentation, "Reimagining Family Childcare Networks as Vehicles for Community Change and Empowering Women," is a reflection of the work I am honored to contribute to through Natalie Renew and Home Grown. In my second presentation, I highlighted the Multi-Stakeholder Collaborations Model and its potential for future impact, a project I’ve been fortunate to work on alongside Sarah Hexem Hubbard of the Pa Action Coalition. This incredible opportunity wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of my mentor, Tine Hansen-Turton, who not only shared the conference opportunity with me but also welcomed me into the Woods Services team. It’s moments like these that remind me why it’s so important to surround yourself with people who believe in your vision, even when you’re still figuring it out. And as if the experience couldn’t get any better, I had the joy of running into one of my former PCOM graduate students, Theresa Wilson-Fall, MA, who was also presenting at the conference! It’s a beautiful full-circle moment to witness someone you’ve mentored rising in their own journey. The attached pictures are more than just snapshots. They represent growth, perseverance, and the power of community. To anyone reading this: Never give up on your dreams, even if today you don’t have a clear roadmap. Trust the process, lean into your passions, and surround yourself with a supportive community. The journey might be unpredictable, but the destination is worth it. #Ubuntu2024 #DreamFulfilled #NeverGiveUp #CommunityChange #EmpowerWomen #Mentorship #GlobalConferences #ImpactfulCollaboration
