Her work is driven by a deep commitment to reducing harm and fostering a more conscious society, where consumers can make informed decisions about the products they use and the impact they have on the planet. Through Te Protejo, Camila has successfully raised awareness about the importance of ethical consumerism, paving the way for a future where kindness, sustainability, and animal rights are at the forefront of daily life. Her leadership continues to inspire countless others to embrace a lifestyle of compassion and responsibility, and we are thrilled to have her on the GenV Team!

Animal agriculture remains a leading cause of deforestation, greenhouse gas emissions, water pollution, and wildlife loss. If we want to protect the planet, we need to curb this dangerous industry, and there are encouraging signs that this is starting to happen.

As activists for social justice, we are often exposed to some of the most distressing knowledge and scenes imaginable. As a result, feelings of anger, hopelessness, and even guilt can overwhelm us, jeopardizing our emotional wellbeing and mental health. Here we recognize some of those feelings and gather together advice from experts and activists who have experienced them and gotten through.

The work of these human rights activists highlights that oppressions are connected at their root and that a commitment to human rights naturally extends to the rights of non-human animals. A common driving force is a vision for a future that is more just, equitable, and compassionate for all.

We may think of animal activists as protesting on the streets, filming inside farms, or roadblocking trucks. While these may be valuable ways of fighting for animals, they are not the only ways!

People of faith who champion veganism are leading the way in a more modern, compassionate, and enlightened approach to their spiritual practice. We are here to celebrate their contribution to the vegan movement, and explore the lessons we can learn from them!

Undercover investigators operate at the frontlines of animal advocacy. Many of us have seen undercover footage of animals suffering on factory farms, but it’s easy to forget that behind each camera is a person risking their own safety, freedom and wellbeing to capture those images.

For vegans, deciding what to feed our friends can be a daunting area, as traditionally cats and dogs have been fed an animal-based diet. Luckily, it is both possible and healthy to feed cats and dogs a vegan diet!

A vegan diet can provide everything we need to be healthy, as well as being varied, delicious, and exciting. As with every dietary choice however, we need to pay attention to the vitamins and other nutrients we cannot live without and always make sure we are getting plenty of them—whether that is from food or, if necessary, from a supplement.
