  • "That small piece of paper will always remind me that I can open any doors I want, no matter how heavy, as long as I have the right tools." Last year at HOPE 2024, Valeria Fernandez reflected on her seven-year journey to graduation, the impact of a strong support system, and the role Generation Hope played in making sure she belonged in every space she stepped into. This April 9-11, HOPE 2025 brings together student parents, education leaders and advocates to continue the conversation on systemic change in higher ed. Be part of the movement that ensures no student parent has to go through this journey alone. • March is Women’s History Month, which is all about honoring the women who have shaped history; not just through their own actions, but through the generations they’ve raised and the movements they’ve created. In The Three Mothers, Anna Malaika Tubbs reminds us that behind some of the most influential leaders of our time stood three Black women — mothers who refused to accept anything less than dignity, justice and humanity for themselves and their children. Their determination echoes in the work we do today. As we celebrate Women’s History Month, let this book serve as a reminder: the power to shape a better world has always been and will always be in our hands.
