We are hiring! We are looking for two Program Directors for both our San Diego and Northern Colorado locations. These positions will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission to support survivors of sex trafficking. More info and applications can be found at https://lnkd.in/gmkjPGEN !

It isn’t always easy to be generous, especially while living in one of the most expensive cities in the U.S. And young adults are often told that their giving doesn’t matter or have a big impact. But we believe that everyone — regardless of age or income — can bring hope and transformation to the darkest parts of our city. ?? Our young adults told us they’re especially passionate about the issue of human trafficking in San Diego. So we gathered with 3 goals — ??LEARN (we heard from?Keelin Washington at?GenerateHope) ?? GIVE (80% of ticket price went directly towards gifting survivors) ?? and DO (we created gifts for a fall-themed surprise for survivors). What a night! Together, we surpassed all of our hopes — 55 of 50 spots filled, and $2,806 pledged (+$1,300 *over* our goal!) to help support survivors in San Diego. ?? Thank you to all who attended & volunteered — you made this event possible!

The 5th Annual Epiphany! Experience is in the ?? It had everything! Mary-Ellen Barrett and Susan Munsey broke down the horrific facts about the 800 million dollar annual business of human #trafficking in #San Diego and what's being done about it. Tina Rose (Fox) gave us hope by discussing the program Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County has to #prevent the youth who could be more #vulnerable to being a victim. Marks kept it real by showing us how to have a collaborative discussion about politics in today's toxic environment ?? Lamar Rutherford, MBA guided us through the challenge of managing narcissism in #business ?? Natalie L. Quirarte, CFP? reminded us that we have an #obligation to choose how we see the world ?? AmyK Hutchens tied it all together by reframing that just a 1% #energy shift will be a game-changer ?? The National Comedy Theatre brought joy in a day that covered some heavy topics. Proud to attend the Fifth Annual Epiphany event in support of GenerateHope this past Friday. We heard some heart wrenching stories about the plight of the human trafficking scourge in San Diego and what can be done about it. Fantastic moderating duties by the incomparable Katy Temple! Today my family and I went to Broomfield Days Fair to support GenerateHope. They are raising money for their direct care and rehabilitation homes for survivors of human sex trafficking. For the past year I am honored to volunteer in their Colorado home. My intention to serve this organization is to learn from an established NPO that has a similar mission as Inspire Light. This experience has opened my eyes and heart as a survivor leader. It goes beyond just giving back and learning for the greater impact of Inspire Light’s mission. I have gained so much wisdom from Generate Hope’s case management, directors of development, resident guides, and the residents we serve. They are all leaders by example for unconditional love for a greater purpose. Thank you for educating our community by spreading awareness of #AntiHumantrafficking through holding space for survivors to heal, grow, and thrive in our society. ???????????? #GiveHope #Volunteer #LearnAndGrowTogether #SurvivorLeader

As CMOs, our role is to ensure that our strategies align with values and goals to drive meaningful progress. Extending this commitment beyond our daily responsibilities, we've established CMO CARES to leave a little good wherever we go. During our fall summit, we partnered with five local nonprofits in San Diego—San Diego Humane Society, GenerateHope, ElderHelp of San Diego, Promises2Kids, and Berry Good Food Foundation—to give back to the community. With an initial goal of raising $5,000, we are thrilled to announce that we exceeded this target thanks to the generous participation of our attendees. Thank you to everyone who contributed.
