Today we announced an expansion of our collaboration with EVgo to deploy 400 fast charging stalls at flagship charging destinations around the country. ? ? With features such as 350kW fast chargers, ample lighting, canopies, pull-through stations and security cameras, the flagship stations are poised to set a new benchmark in the EV charging landscape, by addressing the growing demand for convenient, reliable and customer-centric charging solutions in the markets that need them most.???? ? The first flagship is slated to open in 2025, with more planned in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, New York, Michigan and Texas. ?? ? I’ve spent the past 150 days visiting as many of our manufacturing facilities as possible. I’ve been around the world and back seeing our global operations, and each day that I step into one of our facilities, I’m inspired by what is, and also by what can be.? While it would be impossible for me to pick just one favorite moment from the past several months, being at Flint Assembly and working side by side with our manufacturing team is at the top of my list.? Being the global leader of this team is both an honor and privilege. My experience at Flint reinforced what I already knew to be true – manufacturing is a game changer. ? Thank you to the 4,600+ Flint team members for welcoming me and teaching me about the work you do to deliver our heavy-duty trucks to customers every day. Joseph Phelps, a Senior Product UAT Lead, was convinced he’d never love a truck more than his 1991 Silverado Z71 Stepside. However, after taking a Silverado EV for a spin, he might just have to free up some extra garage space.

A student robotics team recently visited our Lansing Grand River Assembly. Led by Body Shop Manager, Bob Pudvan, the students’ passion for robotics was connected with real-world applications and helped them see how their interests can lead to exciting careers in engineering. Among the chaperones were two of our own – a former GM engineer and a current Body Shop Electrician, both of whom were able to share their experiences working in automotive. #GMManufacturing #STEM #Robotics

Last week in Arlington, our employees had more than one reason to celebrate. I want to congratulate this team on their 70th anniversary and 13 millionth vehicle produced. For decades, our Arlington team has been an important part of vehicle history, producing everything from the Pontiac Chieftain, Chevrolet Bel Air, to the 13 millionth Cadillac Escalade-V.
