Members of the United Methodist Church are championing a proposal for 13 weeks of paid leave for clergy caring for a new baby. Supported by the United Methodist Commission on the Status and Role of Women, this grassroots effort aims to address challenges some pastors face in accessing paid maternity or paternity leave. The goal is to expand coverage without adding financial strain on local churches.
