They provide concise answers to questions from the field on industry hot topics & how they relate to NFPA Standards! ?? The recent Best of January edition in part addresses a key question: ???? ?????? ?????????????????????? ?????? ?????? ???????? ?????????????? ???????? ???? ???? ??????????????????? According to the 2025 edition of NFPA 13, the answer is YES. ? ?? Section 8.2.7.5.4 – When an air compressor serves as the dedicated air supply, it must be installed per NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), Article 430. ? Section 8.2.7.5.5 – The disconnecting means for an automatic air compressor cannot be a general-use switch or a cord-and-plug connection. ?? Also: Compressors must now be Listed for Fire Protection.
