thank you for the call out Sahid Nahim. Less time selling and more time serving.
President @ New Bloom Solutions | Floral Trade Marketing, Networking, Business Development, Branding and Consulting
This week was a great experience at the International Fresh Produce Association - Floral Conference while connecting with and meeting amazing professionals, including Colleen Fagundus and her awesome team. One of my biggest takeaways was the insightful panels, especially a simple yet powerful statement from Carlos Oramas . This quote truly resonated with me because it aligns with one of the main reasons I was inspired to start New Bloom Solutions. I took a moment to create a visual for it so it can be shared—enjoy it below! A big thank you to the IFPA team for hosting.

How often do you use the F word? A question worth pondering, though times have certainly changed.?Many of you will recall when it was far more restricted, even inappropriate. You needed to be selective and careful to not be misunderstood. My dad used it a couple of times a year. Generally, with my mom who he loved very much. Though it wasn’t very frequent, I think it added an intimacy to their relationship I only began to understand later in life. As a middle school student, it would have never crossed my mind, yet today data tells us kids are using it with their teachers. People are more frequently using the F word to make a bold statement, express how they really feel, get someone's attention, even to recognize an exceptional effort. It is embraced by both Republicans and Democrats, rural folks and urbanites, those born here and those who came later. ?The F word does not belong to anyone, rather it belongs to all of us, and each of us finds ways to meaningfully use it. As in most things, younger generations shape current and future behavior. It is no surprise that we see Millennials, Gen-Z and even Alpha’s adopting the F word as part of a more casual even personal way of life. Where it was once uncommon even unheard of, more and more we see the F word used between friends, co-workers and family. Research suggests this is happening not because institutional influences are telling us to, but rather people, because of people, are choosing to use the F word to do the things they want to do and live the lives they want to live. Now entering the Holiday Season, in today’s world, there is so much the F word can do. Parents use it with your kids.?Kids use it with your grandparents. ?Neighbors use it with each other. Churchgoers with your Pastor. ?Doctors with your patients.?Employees with your boss. ?Drivers with each other, and everyone, if you sum up the courage, use it with an unsuspecting perfect stranger. The reaction will always be remarkable, because Flowers (the F word) make people smile. Wait… What did you think I was talking about? ?? #MakePeopleSmile #MaketheWorldBetter #MakeLifeBetter
