Congratulations to Civilized Cycles for winning the inaugural PitchMI competition. The business will receive $100K to design and manufacture ultra-light EVs. ? The state announced Changing Lanes, a new program that will enable auto workers in transition to pivot their careers into the growing advanced mobility sector. ? The Michigander Scholars program will provide new opportunities for emerging mobility tech companies to attract and retain top talent. ? Congratulations to the six recipients of the $15M Equitable Mobility Challenge, who will address mobility gaps and improve access to education, jobs, health care, food, and social opportunities. Congrats to the winner of the state’s inaugural PitchMI competiton, Civilized Cycles! ?? Gov. Gretchen Whitmer presented them with a $100,000 check from the Michigan Growth Office during the state’s first Mobility Conference. Civilized Cycles, based out of Detroit, Michigan, designs and manufactures ultra-light electric vehicles. Their flagship product, the Semi-Trike, offers the cargo capacity of a van at a fraction of the cost. This alternative transportation method is a more affordable, practical and sustainable alternative for moving large amounts of cargo short distances. And thanks to our other finalists Boaz Bikes, GEKOT Robotics Inc. and Voltaic Marine for leaving it all on the stage! #letsgrowmichigan #pitchmi
