Just weeks before the Paris Olympic trials, British rower George Bourne encountered a new hurdle, a COVID-19 diagnosis that brought concerns about his heart health. With some teammates developing serious cardiac issues after the virus, George turned to Dr. Sanjay Sharma, a leading sports cardiologist in the UK, for assistance. Dr. Sharma, who has been working with athletes since 1997, specializes in identifying the difference between normal athlete heart changes and signs of disease. Using tests like stress echocardiography with GE HealthCare’s cardiovascular ultrasound, Dr. Sharma confirmed that George’s heart was safe for intense training. With the all-clear, George was given the green light to continue rowing. With his health concerns addressed, he now looks forward to the next chapter in his career. ?? This Mid-Autumn Festival, the GE HealthCare team in Vietnam brought smiles to pediatric patients at City Children’s Hospital (HCMC) & National Children’s Hospital (Hanoi)!??? Our volunteers decorated lanterns with the children and gifted mooncakes to over 400 pediatric patients. We were also able to provide donations to abandoned pediatric patients in critical health conditions, including a 1-month-old and two 3-month-old babies suffering from serious health challenges. We’re committed to not only tackling the biggest challenges in healthcare but also to lifting up the communities around us through these meaningful volunteer efforts. ?? #MidAutumnFestival #Healthcare #GivingBack

Yesterday, hundreds of officials, customers and colleagues celebrated the launch of a new CT production line at our Buc, France site for the Revolution Maxima CT. ?? This new line will optimize our supply chain, making it more responsive to the needs of healthcare professionals across EMEA. Not only that, it will also cut our carbon emissions by 84% for its transportation. With the new line in France, we’re accelerating delivery for EMEA customers while also greatly reducing emissions by switching from air to road transport in Europe. ?? #Sustainability #HealthcareInnovation #GEHealthCare
