?? As some of you have noticed, "Gears of Progress" is on break and no new episodes are being released. This is a good time to catch up on the old ones and stay tuned for more great guest speakers ahead!

Special Episode 6?? is out! This one is on the Speech Accessibility Project ?? from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign as well as tech giants such as Amazon, Apple, Google, Meta, and MICROS Systems Inc. Its main goal is to to make speech recognition more inclusive of diverse speech patterns. The project is led by Dr. Mark Hasegawa-Johnson and Clarion Mendes. Please tune in to learn more. Cooper, PhD, PLY on his incredible work in revolutionizing wheelchair design, his experience in Paralympics, both as an athlete and a sports scientist, and his multidisciplinary team at his Human Engineering Research Laboratories. Dr. Cooper served as the president of RESNA and on the Medical Device Standards committee at IEEE Engineering Medicine and Biology Society.
