We've been quiet on social media these last two weeks, and that is intentional; after the election we paused. We weren't sure how to jump back into the day-to-day, how to go back to posting updates, or how to even talk about our work in the aftershock of it. There are still four days ?? left for pro-choice Democratic women to apply to be part of the Illinois Women's Institute for Leadership Training Academy (IWILTA). IWILTA is a 10-month program that trains you to run for elect office, seek public appointments, and govern effectively at all levels. The work of government and that of nonprofits are interdependent. Last week Freedom Lifted's “The Shared Power Podcast” released an episode on which Genita Robinson had the joy of being the guest.? Mia Henry and Genita Robinson discussed the intersection of power and boards and if it was possible for power to be shared.
