We are excited to announce significant advancements in the ongoing development of the Marketplace at Coconut Point, a premier retail and dining destination in the heart of Estero. Progress on the site entrances and amenity areas are advancing, with installation set to enhance accessibility and aesthetics in these high-traffic areas. Sidewalk crossings and grading efforts are also underway, adding vital pedestrian-friendly pathways to the development. Building construction is progressing steadily across the site, with each structure moving closer to completion. Retail building 1 has reached parapet height, and the installation of final beams is on schedule for this month. Retail building 2 is advancing with ongoing beam elevation work, and parapet construction will follow shortly after. Meanwhile, retail building 3 is taking shape, with scaffolding in place to support the next phase of wall construction. Key electrical infrastructure is nearing completion, with all transformers now installed and teams actively preparing to energize the site. The Marketplace at Coconut Point continues to highlight GCG Construction’s commitment to delivering exceptional results, combining efficiency, innovation, and craftsmanship at every stage of the project.

GCG Construction is making remarkable progress in developing the expansive MarineMax Fort Myers Yacht Sales & Service facility, spanning over 30,000 square feet, with several key milestones recently achieved. The completion of the MEP/FS (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing/Fire Sprinkler) rough-ins and inspections on the first floor marks a pivotal step forward for the project. With this phase finalized, insulation and drywall installation have commenced, advancing the interior construction process. Meanwhile, the structural erection of the yacht service bays has progressed ahead of schedule and is now nearing completion. These bays, measuring 17,731 square feet and standing 40 feet tall, are designed to accommodate a range of service needs. They represent a cornerstone of the facility’s functionality, underscoring its purpose as a premier destination for boating enthusiasts. The building’s exterior is also taking shape, with the stucco application nearing its final stages. This work not only enhances the visual appeal of the facility but also emphasizes the craftsmanship and attention to detail that GCG Construction brings to every project. We are thrilled with the progress and proud of the dedication and expertise of the entire team which includes GMA Architects & Planners and Bowman Consulting Group. This facility is on track to become a top-tier destination for the boating community, and GCG Construction is honored to play a role in its creation.

Construction Progress Update for The Marketplace at Coconut Point Following Hurricanes Helene and Milton, The Marketplace at Coconut Point is fully operational, with construction efforts back on track and progressing quickly. Major milestones have been reached, including the completion of most site work such as grading and building pad installations for Miller’s Ale House and McDonald’s. In line with our “good neighbor” practices, we’ve installed perimeter sidewalks and are working closely with local maintenance teams to enhance landscaping to better-than-before standards. With the return of seasonal residents, we’ve prioritized these efforts to ensure The Village of Estero and neighboring communities are pleased with the progress. On-site, underground electrical and utility installations are advancing, followed by irrigation systems and selected tree plantings. We are committed to maintaining this momentum as we contribute to the progress and growth of the Estero community.

We’re proud to announce that GCG Construction has been awarded the contract for a new commercial development on Pine Island Road in Cape Coral. This 3,900-square-foot plaza will feature contemporary designs by GMA Architects, with Cali Coffee as one of its future tenants! The remaining space will be customized for a future occupant, ensuring a unique fit for the community. Construction is scheduled to begin in Q1 2025, with the plaza expected to become a key destination that enhances local business options and serves the surrounding community.
