A Bold New Era for Strategic Communication Excellence Begins!** I’m celebrating the announcement today of a groundbreaking partnership between the Centre for Strategic Communication Excellence (CSCE) and the Global Communication Certification Council (GCCC), with the backing of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). This exclusive collaboration is set to offer unmatched support and exam preparation resources for communication professionals seeking to elevate their careers through certification. I like to think this journey started in 2011 when I was the international chair of IABC, and I assembled a team of passionate advocates for professional development and certification to transform IABC’s thinking about the need for a Career Roadmap and an ISO-accredited certification program that recognised and supported ongoing commitment to learning. With the leadership of so many professionals over the last 10 years, GCCC certification is now seen as the qualification to have on your CV. I am passionate about professional development, so I was compelled to launch the Centre for Strategic Communication Excellence and work alongside Sia Papageorgiou FRSA, FCSCE, SCMP who shares that passion and enthusiasm for certification. Together, we have built a network of global communication professionals who hold strategic communication close at heart. After two decades of dabbling in all kinds of professional communications, I finally have a certification that feels like a reflection of all I've learnt along the way: the Strategic Communications Management Professional (SCMP) certificate from the Global Communication Certification Council (GCCC). A big thanks to the IABC Team Ginger D Homan, ABC, SCMP, IABC Fellow Sharon Hunter, SCMP and Marlee Honcoop who helped me on this journey and a big shout-out to my mentor, the incredible Sia Papageorgiou FRSA, FCSCE, SCMP who has been so supportive and from whom I've learnt so much in the last so many months!
