Congratulations to Metro Water Recovery, Denver Water and Aurora Water (Colorado) for hosting a successful Regional Salinity Summit at CSU Spur. Leaders and experts representing water utilities, public health, economic development and local and state elected officials came together to better understand the issue along the Front Range and to generate collaborative, cross-sector solutions to mitigate the increasing salinity levels in our water.? Few things are more rewarding for us than shining a light on the incredible leadership of community partners like the Daniels Fund. GBSM proudly worked with all three finalists for the Daniels Fund Medal of Excellence to showcase their incredible work during the second annual Salute to Excellence event at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. It was a memorable evening with $450,000 being awarded between Child Development Center, CrossPurpose and TACT - Teaching the Autism Community Trades for their work empowering communities, changing lives and setting a high bar for all organizations across #Colorado, #NewMexico, #Utah and #Wyoming. #SalutetoExcellence

It is another tough Friday for Colorado. Today, we lost Dan Ritchie, an icon who has shaped so much about Colorado and so many of its treasured institutions. Dan has always been one of the smartest, kindest and most generous, yet modest, individuals in our state. He has had heavy hands in shaping the University of Denver, Denver Center for the Performing Arts, and much, much more. Dan was a client, friend and partner. Every year, we look forward to our January team retreat to reflect on the prior year, discuss goals for the year ahead and brainstorm how best to live our GBSM values.
