On November 19, 2024, we held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Sandra R. Berman Pavilion, our new state-of-the-art facility for comprehensive cancer care. We look forward to welcoming patients in early February 2025. ?? Features of the Berman Pavilion: - Dedicated oncology pharmacy, diagnostic imaging center, and lab - Integrative Wellness Center for symptom management - Revamped Boutique and Salon for cancer patients - Infusion Center with private rooms and beautiful views Maryland Governor Wes Moore joined us, sharing his personal connection to cancer care and praising the project for its patient-centered approach. This week we celebrated a major milestone at GBMC, the dedication and ribbon cutting of the Sandra R. Berman Pavilion. At GBMC, you expect excellent cancer care from a compassionate team. Now we’re making access to that team easier. During our annual Veterans Day celebration, Major Shirley Ashutabi, RN was recognized for recently returning to us after her very first overseas deployment with the U.S. Army. For over nine months, Major Ashutabi was deployed in Kuwait doing Medical-Surgical Nursing. This deployment required her to leave behind her role here at GBMC, her family, and her community, all to serve a mission larger than herself. Shirley, we are so proud of you. Your bravery, your dedication, and your commitment are inspiring. Thank you for your service and for continuing to make a difference here at home.
