Last month, we spent two energizing hours with our client’s recruiting leadership team, exploring what it really means to be a trusted talent advisor. Being seen as a trusted advisor is not magic or luck, it’s a set of skills that anyone can build, including stakeholder management, influencing, and strategic communication. Our goal was to help these managers to refine these skills—and feel confident enough to bring their insights back to their teams of recruiters, sourcers, and RCs, so they could coach and mentor them throughout the coming year. The big question we tackled: How do you evolve from being seen as a tactical contributor to becoming a strategic partner your stakeholders trust and rely on? We dug into real challenges these leaders face — from managing complex stakeholder relationships to driving accountability without formal authority. These leaders got a chance to share their experiences and we worked through practical solutions together. The team’s leader shared what made this training stand out from others: “You spent time with us to gain empathy on what we were going through, and designed a thoughtful training that will have lasting impact for years to come." Our Becoming a Strategic Advisor training is available for recruiting leaders and teams of ICs, and we customize the content to ensure the examples we highlight are directly relevant to your team.
