The Government Blockchain Association (GBA) and STPI Apiary have established a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to elevate India's blockchain industry by implementing global standards through the Blockchain Maturity Model (BMM). This partnership reinforces India's leadership in Web3 and blockchain, setting its technology companies apart on the global stage. Governments worldwide increasingly seek GBA’s expertise to standardize and mature their blockchain industries. Governments are now asking vendors about their BMM rating in their Request for Proposals (RFPs) for blockchain solutions, ensuring only verified, high-quality applications are considered. India’s commitment to this model will not only validate the security and efficiency of its blockchain solutions but also position the country as the clear front-runner in the Web3 space. For Indian blockchain companies, achieving a BMM rating signifies credibility, security, and global competitiveness. BMM credentials provides access to international markets, government contracts, and investment opportunities, distinguishing Indian technology firms from the competition. As the global blockchain landscape evolves, organizations with BMM ratings will be at the forefront of enterprise and government adoption. By adopting the BMM framework, the Indian government ensures that blockchain solutions meet rigorous security and transparency standards, fostering trust among stakeholders and investors. This initiative simplifies procurement, accelerates blockchain adoption, and positions India as a leading innovation hub for Web3 technologies. Through this collaboration, STPI Apiary and GBA will provide Indian blockchain startups with training, resources, and certification opportunities, further strengthening India’s competitive edge in blockchain.
