Community in Action! Gay For Good volunteers joined L.A. CADA volunteers to sort and organize wildfire relief donations for those impacted by the Eaton Canyon fire. Together, we supported the clients and staff at L.A. CADA, proving once again that kindness and teamwork can spark hope in tough times.

Our hearts are with everyone impacted by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles County. We stand ready to assist?however we can and will be sharing opportunities to volunteer with us,?or how to lend a hand on your own in the weeks and months ahead as LA works to rebuild in the aftermath of the fires.

Dear Gay for Good friends, As we near the end of our 15th year, we wanted to take a moment to share some of our favorite moments from this giving season. From wrapping, baking, decorating, wagon building, serving warm meals, donating toys and food, and caring for our neighbors across the nation, Gay for Good volunteers showed up in a big way, and made a real difference. For many LGBTQ+ people, volunteering is a meaningful way to build community, find purpose, and connect with others who share their values, especially in times of uncertainty or change. In uncertain times, comfort can be found in community and Gay for Good remains steadfast in our commitment to uplifting and advocating for the LGBTQ+ community using the power of service as a catalyst to bring us closer together.? ? At Gay for Good, we see the mental and physical benefits of volunteering firsthand. When our volunteers come together to help others, they not only make a difference for those they serve but also for themselves—finding connection, joy, and purpose. Volunteers can be agents of change who inspire others to join them, creating a ripple effect beyond their immediate actions. By raising awareness of important causes and issues, Gay for Good volunteers can shift cultural attitudes and serve as advocates for equity and inclusivity. As we look ahead, let’s continue to lean into the strength of our collective actions, embracing the purpose and community that comes from serving others. In this final quarter of our 15th year, the Gay for Good board of directors gathered in Chicago to reflect, connect, collaborate and strategize on what's possible as we look to the future. And, in alignment with our core values, we scheduled in time for a service project and a little fun too!
