Yesterday, we announced the #AV industry's most rigorous safety assessment ever. Richard Bishop from Forbes covered the story in detail: "Gatik’s safety process is one of – if not the – industry’s most rigorous and comprehensive safety assessments ever conducted by independent parties. It is reasonable to assume that the process, in some form, can be applied across robotaxis, long-haul trucking, and any other public road use case, not just their middle-mile operations. The question must be asked, how can a third-party independent assessment not be part of the final decision to launch a driverless vehicle? Clearly, Gatik and their partners feel that their safety validation process should be adopted broadly across the AV space. Nothing of its sort has been announced by any other ADS developer."
