Men who are assigned to the desk are responsible for answering phones, checking people in, accepting donations, getting mail and so much more! At Gateway, we are truly dedicated to the rehabilitation process and do our best to instill new habits and work ethic for men in our program seeking a second chance. Hey Gateway Family! The needs for our community, our mission and the men in our program remain consistent! We are currently in the process of making an Amazon Wishlist to streamline the donation process, but right now our list of needs include: - Life Recovery Bibles for the men in our program - ALCOHOL FREE cold, allergy and cough medicine (due to the nature of our ministry, we do not distribute anything with alcohol in it) -Shampoo and Conditioner -Feminine hygiene pads -Toothpaste -Deodorant -Men and Women’s socks -Men and Women’s Underwear -Sports bras (sizes small-XXXL) -Body/baby wipes All of these items can be found on Amazon, or wherever you buy! Dear Gateway crew, We are saddened by the recent loss of our dear volunteer, Margaret Collier, who passed away on February 26th. A loyal volunteer of over 17 years, Margaret played an integral role in our mission and served both joyfully and faithfully in our kitchen! Our staff, men in our program, fellow volunteers and those in our community were positively impacted by her servant heart. Always know that when you volunteer here, you become a part of something bigger than all of us. We love y’all, we care about y’all and will always keep you in our hearts! ??

It’s been a long, cold, lonely winter..but not anymore! ?? The sun is out and the store is open! Our thrift store is an integral part of our ministry as it allows us to offer men the opportunity to develop a work ethic, but also gives back to our community by giving you a safe, clean, space to shop! Who doesn’t love some good news on a Monday morning? We are proud of our graduates Lawrence, George and Timothy! Last week, these men completed our six month, in residential treatment program! At gateway, we could use: -Toothpaste -Toothbrush -Baby wipes / deodorant towelettes -Women and Men’s deodorant -Women and Men’s socks -Feminine hygiene pads -Men and women’s underwear -Ibuprofen and Tylenol As things start to heat up in Mississippi, we also ask you to prayerfully consider donating short sleeve shirts and shorts, along with water bottles (reusable bottles are accepted). We do this through weekly encampment visits , where our team offers prayer, food, water and other resources our loyal community has donated to us. It’s a lovely day to be in the New Life Program ?? A key part of being in our New Life Program is learning how to become a productive, healthy citizen. One way we do that is by bringing the men to our store to instill work skills such as organization, discipline, customer service and build a strong work ethic.
