Continual improvement at Gateway is, well, continuous. Last week, as part of Gateway's ongoing educational sessions, a group of our engineers went on a site tour to The Village at Pine, in Wexford, PA. The development is a walkable community with 486 homes, complimented by a vibrant retail block, including hospitality and entertainment tenants. Gateway Engineers CEO, Jason D. Jesso, PMP, led the tour, discussing the challenges faced and solutions created to execute the project. The development broke ground in 2006, with the final residential phase completed in 2019. Gateway provided Project Management, Survey, Site Civil, Geotechnical, Landscape Architecture, Municipal, Environmental, Transportation, Construction Administration and Inspection/Testing services. #GatewayEngineers #PeopleProjectsAndPurpose #CivilEngineering #ContinualImprovement

Twenty years ago, the first viable Marcellus Shale exploratory well, the Renz #1 was completed in Mt. Pleasant Township, located in Washington County, PA. Since then, the Marcellus Shale has become what is now considered to be one of the largest natural gas fields in the world. Last week, the Sewickley Borough celebrated the opening of Walnut Green, a new park located outside of The Lindsay Theater & Cultural Center in downtown Sewickley, with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Michael Galet, P.E., Project Manager for Gateway, joined in on the celebration alongside local officials, including Sewickley Mayor George Shannon.
