Our mission is to be the premier mental health treatment center dedicated to the healthy development and well-being of adolescents. Gateway is a place where teens can heal and reach their full potential. We provide a safe and nurturing environment through five integrated programs: Therapy, Academics, Community, Outdoor Experiential, and Fitness. With integrity and respect, we help youth feel empowered and valued, build healthy relationships, make thoughtful decisions, develop life skills, become life-long learners, and achieve their personal best.

  • Gateway Co-Founder, Michelle Gourley, had the privilege of presenting "Unraveling Social Media's Sexual Influences: Insights, Resources, and Recommendations to Educate and Protect Teens" at the NATSAP conference last week. As social media continues to shape adolescent development, it’s crucial to understand its impact and equip both professionals and parents with the tools to navigate these challenges. Michelle’s presentation explored research-driven insights and actionable strategies to support and safeguard teens in today’s digital landscape. We’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this important conversation and to collaborate with colleagues dedicated to the well-being of young people.

    The 3rd most influential tech company in the world is… what?!? ?? I was listening to a podcast with Jordan Peterson interviewing Laila Mickelwait titled "One Woman's War on Porn," and she shared a stat that completely caught me off guard. I had to fact-check it myself. Apparently, one of the most influential tech companies in the world—ranking third in global impact is none other than P-hub.... It made me pause. I’ve always heard stats like 80% of men and 60% of women watch pornography monthly, but I never fully grasped the scale of it because it’s a topic that rarely talked about. And yet, these numbers don’t lie. This got me thinking: ?? How does something so widely consumed stay so rarely discussed? ?? What are the long-term effects on sexuality and on society with this behavior? ?? Are we underestimating the influence of this industry? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Does this surprise you as much as it did me?

    Gateway Academy is proud to participate in national research forwarding the treatment of adolescents and young adults. Here is the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP) Summary of Client Outcomes, a comprehensive outcome study demonstrating that the youth in our programs - including GATEWAY ACADEMY - experienced "statistically significant and large improvements to their global health" and well-being sustained post discharge for at least one year. What a gift to be able to contribute to the healing of these youth and their families! Link to the research in the comments.

Every year, we celebrate Clinical Appreciation Week to show our clinical team how much we value their incredible contributions. ??
