We were so grateful to see the Cincinnati community come together to support U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. (Ret.) Chad Ohmer at his Walls of Honor ceremony! This event is a special moment where loved ones and neighbors write messages of gratitude on the studs of Chad's future mortgage-free, specially adapted home. We can't wait to complete this project and welcome Chad and his beautiful family to their new home in just a few months. ????

This #FirstResponderFriday, we're proud to highlight the Pascoag Fire Department, who received a grant for new, life-saving tools. These critical additions are already making a difference on the ground. Chief Michael Dexter shared, "With the addition of the cutter and spreader, we have been able to provide the needed equipment at emergency scenes in a far more timely fashion." We're honored to support their ongoing dedication to keeping the community safe!

Every October, we honor the brave heroes who sacrifice for our safety every day. On National First Responders Day, we reflect on the dedication of those who serve, including the courageous firefighters from FDNY. In September, Gary Sinise visited NYC to share meals, stories, and heartfelt moments with firefighters at Ladder 132 and Ladder 10 in honor of 9/11. This #ServiceDogSaturday is dedicated to Nitro, a 10-year veteran of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s bomb squad. Nitro was known for his fierce loyalty, his large presence, and his unwavering commitment to keeping others safe. From securing major events to protecting everyday Oklahomans, Nitro left a lasting impact on his team and community. Though Nitro passed away just before retirement, his legacy lives on in the hearts of those who worked alongside him. ??????

Today, we are proud to dedicate a mortgage-free, specially adapted smart home to U.S. Army Veteran Dennet Oregon. At just 19, inspired by the events of 9/11, Dennet joined the military and served in Afghanistan before suffering life-altering injuries from an IED explosion. After enduring 18 months of intense treatment, he lost both legs below the knee but remained dedicated to serving his country. Now, Dennet and his family will have a home built for his needs, allowing them to live comfortably and focus on building new memories together. We are truly honored to provide this home for Dennet, a testament to his service, resilience, and the incredible strength of his family. It’s our privilege to support him in this next chapter of life. "Since I left Walter Reed Hospital, everywhere I've lived I haven't been able to use my wheelchair," said Dennet. "I've had to put it in storage. I'm going to actually use my wheelchair here. That alone is going to make a huge difference." Today, we honor the incredible legacy of Marine Corps trailblazer Dorothy "Dot" Cole. Enlisting in 1943, Dorothy was determined to serve her country during World War II, becoming part of the first wave of women to join the Marine Corps Women's Reserve. Her story is one of resilience, determination, and love for her fellow Marines. She paved the way for countless women in service and will forever be remembered for her courage and commitment. #WarriorWednesday
