Garnier-Thiebaut has over 190 years of experience in manufacturing luxury linens and textiles. By having our own design team, a vertical manufacturing process, unique qualities to the water used in manufacturing, and an excellent team driving Garnier-Thiebaut's success we have created a brand that is sought after, highly recognized for its accomplishments, and well-known worldwide. Garnier-Thiebaut Inc. is part of HDM Finance Group, a family-owned business since 1723. It is the 13th generation operating the company, and HDM is one of the biggest textile groups in Europe for the hospitality industry. Garnier-Thiebaut is the only company among the HDM group with a retail and hospitality division, both of them with a strong presence around the world. For retail, we introduce two new collections each year; designed, dyed, weaved, mercerized, bleached, cut, and sewn into beautiful products in Geradmer, France. Garnier-Thiebaut Inc. was created in the US in 2001. In 2007 we moved our headquarters from New York to Arlington. In 2010 we completed the acquisition of Hilden America Inc. located in South Boston VA, including the warehouse and the sewing room. In 2012 we moved and expanded our headquarters in Crystal City VA, and opened a new showroom. Garnier-Thiebaut has implemented a strategic approach to sustainably by improving its environmental-impacted processes: manufacturing, product design, and training of all employees. We also decided to get the ISO14001 certification in October 2017. Some of our best sellers are duvet covers, bed sheets, towels, bath mats, bedspreads, bathrobes, pillowcases, bath towels, bedding sets, pillow shams, satin sheets, and hand towels, all part of our hospitality and hotel collection. We are incredibly proud to celebrate Chef stephane GRATTIER, co-owner of Boulangerie Christophe in Georgetown, Washington, D.C., and Potomac, Maryland, for his exceptional accomplishments in both France and the United States. Stéphane has truly made his mark in the baking world since moving to Washington, D.C. in 2017 from Grenoble, France, where he previously owned six bakeries. ? Stéphane's mastery has led Boulangerie Christophe to win numerous prestigious awards, including the coveted title of “Best Baguette in the USA” in 2020 and 2022, and the Tiptree World Bread Award in 2019. His world-renowned baguettes recently gained further recognition with the induction of the French baguette onto UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity—a testament to his dedication to preserving this culinary tradition at the highest level. ? In addition to his two bakeries, Stéphane recently became a consultant for The Dinex Group - Daniel Boulud in New York, bringing his expertise and passion for baking. Beyond his incredible achievements in the bakery world, Stéphane’s generosity during the COVID lockdown was truly inspiring. He selflessly baked bread and prepared meals for elderly and disabled individuals in D.C., going above and beyond to support those in need. In the world of fine dining, some chefs stand out for their remarkable impact. Today, we are excited to share the journey of one such visionary: Jean-Louis DUMONET. Born into a family of restaurateurs in Paris, Chef Dumonet began his culinary career at 14, training at the renowned école H?telière de Paris Lycée Jean Drouant. Early in his career, he cooked for the Prime Minister of France during his military service and later became Executive Chef at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok. From 1987 to 1991, Chef Dumonet ran Restaurant Jean-Louis Dumonet in Chateauroux, France, alongside his wife, Karen Dumonet. The restaurant quickly gained acclaim in French culinary guides, and at just 28, Chef Dumonet earned his first Michelin star and was honored as a “Jeune Restaurateur de France.” After relocating to New York, Chef Dumonet opened Trois Jean Bistro, earning praise from The New York Times and other publications. He then led as Executive Chef at The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel, where the main dining room was named “Dumonet at the Carlyle” in his honor. Later, as Corporate Executive Chef at Saks Fifth Avenue, he developed groundbreaking culinary concepts nationwide. Chef Dumonet also brought his expertise to The UNION CLUB OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK, INC, one of the country's oldest private clubs. In 1994, he received the title of Ma?tre Cuisinier de France and currently serves as the President of the USA CANADA Delegation. In 2010, he was awarded the Ordre du Mérite Agricole, and in 2024, Chef Dumonet was honored as an Officier de l’orde du mérite by the French Minister of Agriculture. Today, Chef Dumonet brings his French culinary artistry to MSC Cruises' Explora Journeys on the MSC Explora I, elevating the dining experience with refined takes on classic dishes like coq au vin. His work with MSC captures the essence of French gastronomy at sea, blending tradition and innovation to create unforgettable moments. Since 2023, we've been working with Evertreen, a platform that connects businesses to impactful reforestation projects around the world. So far, we’ve planted 15,000 trees in Kenya and Madagascar. These trees play a crucial role in reducing deforestation, slowing coastal erosion, and naturally filtering local water systems. The project is not only about the environment—it's also about creating 1,875 working hours for local communities. In the years ahead, these trees will absorb 10,500 tons of CO2, making a lasting impact on the environment and local communities. He later graduated from La Rochelle Culinary School, where he learned the finer points of French cuisine from renowned chefs. This early connection to fresh, quality ingredients laid a strong foundation for his future success in the culinary world. ? Sébastien’s impressive career includes leading roles at renowned New York restaurants such as LA GOULUE, Bistro Chat Noir, and Provence En Boite Inc. He is currently the Executive Chef at the Consulate of France in New York, where his talent continues to shine. As a member of the Academie Culinaire de France USA / Canada Delegation since 2014 and a Ma?tres Cuisiniers de France de France since 2016, Sébastien received the ACF Silver Medal in 2019.
