As National Apprenticeship Week comes to a close, we’re excited to spotlight our first graduate, Jarod, who completed the FMCSA's Safe Driver Apprenticeship Program this past May! ?? Now, you’ll find him traveling the country with his trusty sidekick, Tucker the Trucker, happily riding shotgun. ???? Reflecting on his journey, Jarod shared: "Being an apprentice driver set me up for success in trucking. It allowed me to gain valuable experience and discover what works best for me. Starting at a young age has given me a head start in my professional trucking career." His advice to aspiring apprentices? "Learn at your own pace. Everyone grows differently, and that’s okay!" We’re proud to see Jarod—and Tucker—thriving and grateful for the impact of apprenticeships in shaping the next generation of drivers! ??

Next up for National Apprenticeship Week, we’re celebrating Jacob, another one of our Rockstar Apprentices! ???? With nearly a year of experience under his belt, Jacob has been transporting goods across the country as a professional driver, building a strong foundation for a rewarding career in trucking. The apprenticeship program has given Jacob the opportunity to proudly serve both his community and move America forward. Reflecting on his journey, Jacob shared: "I am so thankful for my Savior and Lord in providing me with such a fulfilling career and a great company. I would encourage any young adult who enjoys adventure to try it. This program provides a wonderful way to get a head start on your personal goals." We’re proud of Jacob’s hard work and excited to see where the road takes him next! ??

We're kicking off National Apprenticeship Week, and today we're highlighting Nolan, our most recent driver to complete the extensive training of the Safe Driver Apprenticeship Program, which allows him to drive over state lines at only 19! Nolan joined the program to quickly enter the workforce without accumulating any college debt, and he's grateful for the opportunity to save money while building his career. He also loves the independence the job provides! His advice for anyone considering the program: "If you're thinking about joining the program you definitely should. It gives young adults a way to prove themselves. You'll enjoy the program and will be on the road in no time. Just remember to read the road signs." We're proud of Nolan and excited for the bright future ahead of him! ????

Last night, we welcomed 10 outstanding The University of Findlay students from the Dana Scholars program to Garner Trucking! Sherri Brumbaugh shared some behind-the-scenes insight into the trucking industry, supply chain & logistics, and offered valuable interviewing and resume advice. The group also learned more about our social media and marketing efforts from Garner Marketing Intern, Hailey Wilson. To top it off, they had the chance to ride in one of our trucks! It was a fantastic evening spent sharing our passion for trucking with the next generation of leaders. Another successful year helping out with the The University of Findlay - Sodexo's Helping Hands Food Drive! This year, an impressive 265,216 pounds of food was collected to support families in Findlay and Hancock County through CHOPIN Hall! Garner Driver, John T. & his Trainee, Casey S., so graciously transported the goods from UF to CHOPIN Hall this morning. Thank you, gentlemen!
